Saturday 11th July 2015, in Spoleto, at Casa Mahler, a meeting was held with the film director, writer and painter Lorenza Mazzetti, who played a central role in the birth of the FREE CINEMA MOVEMENT, the English movement she founded in the mid-fifties with Lindsay Anderson, Karel Reisz and Tony Richardson. During the event, besides the conversation with the prestigious guest, her two films were screened: K (1954) and TOGETHER (1956).
The first appointment with Lorenza Mazzetti took place on June 27th at the Castle of Postignano, as part of the fourth edition of the summer cultural event "A Castle on the horizon".
Great is Marina Mahler's satisfaction, President of the Association dedicated to her mother Anna, sculptor and daughter of the Austrian composer Gustav Mahler and Alma Schindler, and that of Matteo Scaramella, President of Mirto srl, the company that bought and restored the Castello di Postignano, in Valnerina: this first shared event paves the way for future collaborations on further projects.
